Our commitment to the planet
The Cafédirect Gold Standard demonstrates our commitment to protecting and restoring our planet. This includes by 2030 to run own operations within environmental limits and be making significant progress towards our longer-term science-based net zero ambition.
As a social enterprise dedicated to championing the work and passion of small-scale coffee farmers, concern for both people and the planet are not new to us and we look forward to continuing to share our journey and ensuring our voice is part of the collective, resounding call for change. We are pleased to be part of a coalition of the willing, looking to collaborate and accelerate action.
Who are Business Declares?
Business Declares is a not-for-profit organisation and an official member of the UN Race to Zero team for COP26. They believe that business has a major part to play in tackling the climate, ecological and social emergency.
To generate support, they work across the business and political sectors. Across the business community they raise awareness of the importance of balancing profits with people and ethics, along with living within the limits of the planet. They also galvanize businesses to advocate for regulatory changes and greater political will for urgent action.
