Acquisition of Bewley's UK
We ‘re excited to announce a significant milestone in the growth and expansion of Cafédirect. On 7 June, we acquired Bewley’s UK from its parent company, Bewley’s Ireland.
New roastery, new brands
Along their Meltham roastery in Yorkshire, we’re thrilled to welcome new specialty coffee brands into our range, including Grumpy Mule. And with new roasting capabilities, we will roast some of our own coffee and others’ too, and expand into the out-of-home market.
More coffee, more impact
It’s a huge step change for us and our farmer partners – and with that we can deliver our mission at scale and expand our impact on coffee farming communities. As a social enterprise set up over 30 years ago to do that, we think our charitable and fair trade founders would be proud.
